The coaching staff persisted in running out of a shotgun, even though we botched at least seven snaps that resulted in big losses. A number of other snaps were not good and messed up the timing of the play.

Yet Lehigh did not take a snap under center in the second half and did not seem to make any adjustments (e.g. practice numerous snaps on the sidelines) until after we fell behind.

I you notice HC ran the shotgun too. Borda fumbled when he went under center in the first quarter, and I think they felt that short snap would be easier to handle AND the fact the QB could not move out from behind the center in the muck. He'd get stuck. This game was lost by the turnovers by the backs and wr's not protecting the ball. HC didn't have one to. What is frustrating is seeing that we are a better team physically, but our focus isn't there. VMI, UD--critcal turnovers. The top tier teams protect the ball. While we have talent, we haven't shown we have the mental makeup to be a national contender. HC will lose to Colgate and/or Lafayette. Lehigh will need to run the table for any chance at the playoffs.

After some time for reflection, I don't think any game balls should be given for this game. Yes, some guys had good games, but only to also commit some major errors. The fumbles take away from the stats. This team should come out smokin' next week to show I-AA world what they are really made of. One never knows what team is showing up from one week to the next.

Hey, let's be honest. Lehigh played on the same field in the same miserable conditions as Holy Cross did. Bottom line...Holy Cross executed when it really counted. Very disciplined. Few mistakes. 2 fumbles. None lost. Lehigh can't fumble the ball 11 times and expect to win the ballgame. Holy Cross has an excellent shot at the league title. They have turned the ball over 2 times all year! Colgate,Lafayette, and all other teams on their schedule will have their hands full when they play each other. The Saders don't quit! Give them credit for WANTING this game more than the Mountain Hawks.

It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I drove down from Connectict (AND BACK)in the driving, heavy rain to see Lehigh blow A VERY IMPORTANT GAME. They would have won with good weather, BUT they shoud have won with a 10-0 lead in those horrendous conditions. This very talented team may now go by the wayside - they had so much opportunity ahead of them. Now they have to win ALL the rest of their games and hope Holy Cross loses to BOTH Colgate and Lafayette to get the automatic bid. If the two teams are tied Holy Cross gets the bid. And with the luck of these players, the at-large may not come. What a shame, what an awful, awful shame. The season could end up a waste.

Actually LUs best hope and more realistic outcome may be a three way tie for the league title. I believe it's then up to the league ADs to pick the league representative. They may get the nod over HC/Colgate/Lafayette, if they run the table. They would be the hottest team going into the playoffs. Because of yesterday's loss lots of ifs. Quite frankly, I'd be happy with a shared title at this point. Like the team, my expectations have been greatly lowered. I'm not sure anymore that the can put together 6 solid games in a row.

The the "Crusader Fan"--I think that is what I said. HC protected the ball and LU did not. Pretty basic football if you ask me. HC is probably more 'focused', hence, 'wanting' it more. The 'saders are looking for respect after so many years of getting trampled, and it showed. Lehigh needs to start looking in the mirror rather than it's preseason press clippings.
