My vote follows below the flip, along with the ECAC Lambert Meadowlands Cup poll for this week.

Did I forget to vote?   Of course not.  In a week where everyone should remember to do their civic duty and vote, here's my ballot... for this week's FCS Top 25.

Polls have been a part of college football almost as long as there's been college football.  In a sport where teams are spread out across the country and don't play each other, it's a way to gauge the relative merits of one team against another. And fans of college football have always had a love/hate relationship with polls, too.  When they are kind to your team or conference, they're great; when they're not, they're biased, unfair, or voters are stupid - or some variation on that theme. The Sports Network recently revealed the complete list of their voters in their Top 25 poll - in an effort to provide some accountability to some of their more questionable teams making cameo appearances in the "Others Receiving Votes" area. The fantastic work on offense in Lehigh's 35-16 win over Bucknell deserves plenty of "Player of the Week" nominees. Eight, in fact. Offensive Hawks of the Week: Junior OL William Rackley , sophomore OL Troy McKenna , sophomore OL Jim Liebler , junior OL Ricky Clerge , and senior OL Frank Giacalone (0 sacks, 461 yards of offense) and junior QB J.B. Clark (24 for 37 passing, 327 yardsm 2 TDs, 1 INT). Defensive Hawk of the Week: Junior DB/RS Jon "Prez" Kennedy (65 return yards on 2 kickoff returns, 3 tackles, 1 INT) Special Teams Hawk of the Week: Freshman TE Jamel Haggins (grabbing a blocked XP and returning it for the 2-point conversion) Congratulations to all the winners - and here's hoping that the momentum from this win will carry all the way north to Hamilton.. I thought long and hard about not giving any awards this week, but after further review I thought it wasn't fair to the defense if I stiffed them out of their shutout performance. So I'm giving out three awards this week. The go to: Defensive Hawk of the Week: Sophomore LB Devin Greene (13 tackles, 2 1/2 tackles for loss, 1 interception in relief of injured senior LB Al Pierce ) Special Teams Hawks: Junior DB John "Pres" Kennedy (2 kickoff returns, 32 yards, 3 tackles, 1 INT, 1 pass break up, 1 blocked FG attempt, and 1 forced fumble on the last play of the game) and junior DB/RS Jarard "Fearless" Cribbs (2 punt returns, 28 yards, 3 tackles, 1 INT, 71 yards in punt returns including a 34 yard return) There was som shifting in the ECAC Lambert Poll , which ranking the top teams in the East for the Lambert Trophy. Some quick notes before we enter the preview of Yale vs. Lehigh. First of all, here are this week's LFN "Players of the Week": Offensive Hawk (tie): Junior RB Jay Campbell (another career high this week with 20 carries and 111 yards rushing vs. Georgetown) and freshman QB Michael Colvin ( Patriot League Freshman of the Week with 45 yards rushing, averaging 7.5 yards per carry) Defensive Hawk: Senior LB Matt Cohen ( Patriot League Player of the week on defense , 6 tackles, 4 tackles for loss including 3 sacks) Special Teams Hawk: Junior DB/RS Jarard "Fearless" Cribbs (71 yards in punt returns including a 34 yard return) You undoubtedly noticed the new nickname above for Jarard.
