The Royal Baby was born today, but here at LFN, we're waiting 46 days for the real excitement, the Lehigh football season, to come.
And today, we celebrate someone who changed jersey numbers from No. 61.
At no. 46, we find senior LS Kyle Lechner as our highlighted Lehigh football athlete in today's countdown.
Listed Height: 6'0"
Listed Weight: 200
Major: Finance
Hometown: Milford, PA
High School: Delaware Valley HS, PA
Fun Fact: It's unusual to be recruited solely for long snapping duties on special teams, but that's exactly what happened in Kyle's case. “Kyle, we thought was talented enough just to recruit him solely in that respect," head coach Andy Coen told Mike LoRe of the Express-Times a couple of years ago. "He had a great spring, worked hard on it and has been very good at it. It’s like an art form for those guys and he takes a lot of pride in it and it’s great to have a guy like that.”
2012 Stats: Played in 8 games, handling all long snapping duties in those games.
2013: Will start in the long-snapping role.
