On Lehigh's web site there is a press release concerning an effort to raise money for Brett Snyder and his family. Recently Brett was diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease. The Morning Call has also covered this as well - you can read that here.
I'm looking into what I can do on the blog to raise money for Brett, the Snyder family, or ALS in general. I will keep folks posted about this. In the meantime, if you go to the Brown/White game this Saturday (gates open at 11:00AM), there will be a table where you can donate to Snyder to offset medical treatment costs and other expenses.
UPDATE: For those of you who can't make it to the game this weekend, you can also contribute by sending checks to the football office. Be sure to make the checks out to "Brett Snyder" and mail them to:
Lehigh Football Office
ATTN: Brett Snyder
Taylor Gymnasium
641 Taylor Street
Bethlehem, PA 18015
From there, they will be forwarded on to Brett. If you want, add an extra .01 to show that you read it here first.
Our thoughts and prayers go to Brett and his family.
Later today I'll summarize the press roundup going into the Brown/White game.
